You found us! Alpacas of Sun Valley is located in the heart of Oklahoma, about 30 miles E. of OKC. Our farm backs up to the Shawnee Twin Lakes. If you are curious about alpacas, we totally understand! Our curiosity was peaked a few years back. We took the plunge in 2007. They have not disappointed. These wonderful animals have blessed us in more ways than one. Our original herd of 5 has grown to 13 - ten girls (six currently pregnant!) and three boys. What a blessing.

Join us for National Alpaca Farm Days! September 25-26 we will be hosting an open 'farm' from 10am-6pm. We will have drawings, refreshments, and hands on activities. Our alpaca blood lines range from Peruvian, Chilian, and Bolivian Huacaya alpacas in many colors. Our blood lines include Caligula, Mr. President, My Peruvian Accipter, Accoyo Vengador, Accoyo Victor, Misty Maiden, Snowmass and Royal Fawn. Some other lesser known greats with rare genetics in the US are MMR Goldstar and Legacy de Bolivia. I love seeing multiple colors pronking across our fields! I'm still wanting a fawn and a gray - so my next breedings with be with trying to get those colors out of our females! With one of us being a scientist, we are breeding our herd towards the ideal alpaca, concentrating on conformation, density, high S/P ratios, staple length and the lowest micron counts possible. With a little ingenuity, "raw" alpaca fleece can at the very least cover the yearly expenses of raising these graceful kid friendly animals.
